Bardsea Caravan Park
Our first rally of the year at Bardsea Caravan Park,
Ulverston, Cumbria, Thursday 17th to 20th March 2022.

Finally!
Nice to see all DCCC members since January.
A very warm welcome back to our ex-member, who come back with his partner and new member,
they both come from Northeast to join us. 14 units and two members joined from a hotel,
total 26 Member for long weekend. We all really enjoyed our weekend with the fabulous sunny weather (phew).

Our local pub ‘Old Farmhouse’
Our first night we spent at local pub ‘Old Farmhouse’ where we all had a meal, drinks and a relaxing night.
There was also small fish and chip shop not far away that people enjoyed also.

Bardsea Social Club
On other nights we had good time together chatting and relaxing with drinks at
Bardsea Social Club which not far from Caravan Park.

Ulverston
Some visited the beautiful old town of Ulverston beautiful and visited outside markets.
Sir John Barrow Monument
Hoad Monument is a 100 feet tower at the top of Hoad Hill.
Other members went for walk up to Hoad Hill Monument by foot.

Laurel and Hardy Museum
Ulverston also have interesting Museums like famous comic Laurel and Hardy Museum.

Stan Laurel
As Ulverston was where Stan Laurel was born in this house 16th June 1890.
Arthur Stanley Jefferson was born in Ulverston, which was then in Lancashire but now lies in Cumbria,
the second of five children to theatre owner Arthur Jefferson and Actress Margaret Jefferson in his Grandparents house,
on a small terrace called Foundry Cottages, the name being later changed to Argyll Street.

Cumbria Tours
Some members went on tour of Cumbria, Coniston, Grizedale, Hawkshed, Furness Abbey
and a personal tour around Walney Island, Dock Museum (old working dock) in Barrow.

Kadampa Buddhism
Kadampa Buddhism is a Mahayana Buddhist school founded
by the great Indian Buddhist Master Atisha (AD 982–1054).
The great Kadampa Teachers are famous not only for being great scholars but
also for being spiritual practitioners of immense purity and sincerity’s
l
They have beautiful walk around, look inside Temple or enjoy their café,
where our members visited was Buddhism temple and gardens where real live Monks live.

Super Weekend!
Lucky to have full weekend of beautiful weather,
and we all had a wonderful weekend full of talk, relax and plenty of walking.

Beginning of Springtime
All sad that weekend break was over, and we all met at flag for group photo,
enjoyed cupcakes with a nice hot cup of tea or coffee as Sunday was first day of Spring.

We would like to say big thank you to all our member for coming and supporting us,
we hope you all had fantastic weekend as much as we did!
