DCCCuk Annual Holiday at Pitlochry, Scotland
Spent 7 nights from  Saturday 30th July ~ Saturday 6th August 2011

Our DCCCuk Annual Holiday was held at Faskally Caravan Park at Pitlochry in Scotland for one week from 30th July to 6th August 2011.

The site was excellent as the facilities were good, it has a swimming pool, Bar/Restaurant and well stocked shop.

Some days of the weather were good, we had some warm sunny spell and one or two days of rain at a short period.

A bit dissapoint for some members struggle to level the motorhome and caravan as the small field area were not level (slightly slope.)

Pitlochry was a nice little town and lovely to tour around the area.

During the day most member tour and visited place of interest (Blair Castle, balmorals, Perth, well known golf course – St. Andrew, Pitlochry Salmon Ladder, etc.)

Some members went to see the real Scottish Highland games and Scottish Dancing – the weather was sunny all day, just right to watch the games.

During the evenings at the site, we get together for game of cards / went to pub.

At the end of the week, most members were continued to stay in Scotland for another week, elsewhere further up North and South.

I was surprised that Scotland has many interests to be seen, there are so many beautiful places that I would recommend!

Thank you,

DCCCuk Annual Holiday at Hawkchurch, Dorset.
Spent 7 nights from Saturday 24th July ~  Saturday 31st July 2010

A total of 17 units came to Hawkchurch for the week annual holiday, the campsite was excellent with scenery view and well facilities. The site was full with our rally and also The Caravanning & Camping Club rally.

We were lucky with the good weather all week. Most evening we had the bar to ourselves for socialising and the foods at the restaurant was very good with reasonable price. (photo)

During the week most members spend their day tour around Dorset, Lyme Regis is a nice coastal harbour town and some have visited Bilzey art gallery.

Stefan arranged a stressful game, “words search” to find 21 names of the England world cup team, 5 members have manage to find the 21 names so no out right winner, to decide a winner a penalty shoot out is taken with the beach ball and a beach tent act as small goal post, the winner of the shoot out was B. Bracchi. Big thank to Stefan for the fun game.

One afternoon a one hour mackerel fishing trip was arranged and 10 members went and came back from the trip with a disappointing total of 7 mackerels caught, we had BBQ them for out evening meals.

There was a market day at Charmouth a few mile from Lyme Regis, after money was well spend at the market and we had lunch at the café, Stefan Chachulski, Stephen Satchwell and myself  decide to walk along the coastal bay from Charmouth to Lyme Regis to meet our ladies at the other end.

It was an enjoyable week and I recommended the campsite to any member wish to go on holiday in Dorset.
