2024 WDC Rally No.01 – Grove, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

Grove Lock Marina
This canalside pub serves up hearty food, traditional ales
and wonderful views over the water.
Located beside Lock 28 of the Grand Union Canal,
it’s a shining example of a great English waterside pub.
Set in a secure quiet, beautifully maintained, tree lined meadow
with barbecues dotted around free for anyone to use,
pleasant seating areas and plenty of open space for all to enjoy.

Whipsnade Chalk Lion
The giant lion has been near Whipsnade Zoo since 1933.
The largest hill figure in England is having a makeover, thanks to
800 tonnes of unwanted chalk from beneath a local resident’s house.
The giant 147m (483ft) long lion near Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire
had been deteriorating after “unprecedented” weed growth.
Dunstable Downs

Chalk downlands, rich with wild flowers and wildlife,
with panoramic views of the Aylesbury Vale, and one of
the most instagrammed picnic spots in the UK.

Ascott House
Discover Ascott, where a historic home meets superb art collections,
natural and formal gardens, and views across the Aylesbury Vale.

Pitstone Green Museums
The old Victorian Pitstone Green Farm which fell
out of use as a working farm in the early 1970s.
The Museum has over 40 attractions from model railways
to a Lancaster Bomber cockpit, from farm machinery
to classic vehicles, from a huge working Rack Saw
to a gas engine and more!
