Auster AOP.9 – XP244
The plane of Auster AOP.9 – XP244 was displayed at the campsite,
Here a story about this plane – it was a British Military Air Observation Aircraft,
used during the World War II for directing artillery towards a target.
It was designed with slightly larger wings and a more powerful engine to ensure
an improved take-off and landing when operating on ploughed fields and muddy grounds.
(Now 14 remained left as recorded in 2008.)

Share an interesting facts then…..they look hair-raising
Some of them were arrived on Thursday and met up at the bar in the evening,
to exchange their interesting good stories and facts about cultures, holiday, and
then talking about ghosts later – yep, ghosts, they looked chilling!

Good Morning, it was Friday!
All completed arrived for the weekend, some of them went
to Deddington village, and some others went to Banbury by the bus.

Deddington
This village is a large attractive village, built in the local dark honey-coloured Hornton stone.
The main road through the village, High Street, is lined with houses and
cottages packed tightly together and opening directly on to the street.
But the main part of the village is off the main road to the east and the village
is centred around the bustling Market Place, Church Street and Chapel Square.

Coffee Morning at the Deddington Church
They felt less tired in the morning, this teas improved
their mood and lifted up during the day.

Chipping Norton
Some of them found delicious their fish & chips at this town,
and browsed the high street with some independent stores selling
gifts, arts, books, clothes, antiques and speciality food.

Chipping Norton is a bustling market town
occupying the highest point of Oxfordshire!

Gorgeous warm evening
The skies were still twilight night with a little stargazing after 11pm.

Saturday Morning at 11am
Amazing that all of us were going to Blenheim Palace,
where they arranged a special BSL tour for the WDC.


We thanked you to Alexandra Dury who helped out to have a BSL tour today,
which suppose last week as first Saturdays of each month,
and we thank you again to some members who offered their lift together too.


The History of Blenheim Palace
Home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and his family and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
Blenheim Palace was built as a gift to John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough,
from Queen Anne and a grateful nation in thanks for his victory at the Battle of Blenheim in 1704.


Dress from the Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation.
And the Royal connections Crowns and coronets were displayed there too.

St Martin’s Church
Burial Place of Sir Winton Churchill
Only under one mile, the exit out from the Blenheim Palace to Bladon
to see the burials of the Spencer-Churchill families, including Sir Winton Churchill.
