Rally Report from Central Deaf camping (CDC) – March 2022

Conker CCC Campsite
Our first rally of the year at Conkers Camping and Caravanning Club,
Thursday 24th March till Sunday 27th March 2022.
We had 13 units for the beginning this year, unfortunately
three of our members were unable to join our weekend.

Enjoyed to stay which the site and toilet facilities were
great lovely with a full sunny over the weekend.
Conkers Park Trail
Some of us were walked around Conkers Park Trail., where
It has many features from spectacular views to bird spotting sites,
newly planted woods to peaceful trails.

Moira Furnace
This building is a nineteenth-century iron-making blast furnace located
in Moira, Leicestershire, on the banks of the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal.
Built by the Earl of Moira in 1804, the building has been preserved by
North West Leicestershire District Council as a museum featuring lime kilns and craft workshops.

National memorial Arbortum
The National Memorial Arboretum, together with the National Forest Company
have a 25-acre woodland as a living memorial in memory of every person who lost in war.

IRB
The sculptor was created by a famous Ian Rank-Broadley (IRB), who produced this bronze statues
his initial appears under our Queen’s head on all of our UK coins.

Honour those names fallen
To honour the fallen, recognise service and sacrifice, and foster pride
in the British Armed Forces and civilian community.
Some of members went to visit the Arboretum,
they found their field is huge with various remembrance in war.

Socialising Evening
Enjoyed to chat, drinking & eating fish & Chips provided at the campsite.
